RingWise collects no data. Nothing about you or your files leaves your Mac.

Your files

RingWise reads the names, sizes and dates of the files on the drives and folders you pick. It looks inside a file only for a task you start: listing a zip, checking a compressed copy, or showing the assistant the first lines of a text file when you allow it. All of that happens on your Mac.

Scans are saved in the app's own folder on your Mac, so you can compare them later. They are never uploaded.

A drive or folder is read only after you pick it in an Open panel. RingWise keeps that permission on your Mac so you need not pick it again.

The assistant

The assistant runs on your Mac with Apple Intelligence. Your questions, the file names it looks at, and any text you let it read stay on the device. RingWise sends nothing to Apple or anyone else.

When you move files

If you move files into a cloud folder, such as iCloud Drive, that service uploads them under its own terms. RingWise only moves them into the folder.

Children

RingWise collects nothing from anyone, children included.
