Some space shows as hidden

macOS keeps some folders private: Mail, Messages, Safari, other apps' data. Without Full Disk Access, RingWise counts that space as hidden. To see more: System Settings, Privacy & Security, Full Disk Access, switch on RingWise, then quit and reopen it. RingWise works without it.

I removed something by mistake

RingWise only moves items to the Trash. Press Undo in the bar that appears, or open the Trash and choose Put Back.

Can be freed is smaller than the size

Copies that share space with clones or snapshots free nothing when removed. RingWise leaves that space out, so the number is a floor. The real gain can be larger, never smaller.

The assistant does not answer

It needs a Mac with Apple Intelligence turned on. Without it, the Assistant tab still shows proposals from fixed rules.

Requirements

macOS 26 or later. The assistant needs Apple Intelligence; everything else works without it.
